Hi everybody, I've been dancing around the idea of making a new dA account for some time now. Of course, I would keep this one forever and ever, but my main one would be the new one.
My reason for this is that I would appreciate having a nice, fresh start.

What do you guys think?

Ok, dilemma: I've got tons of art I want to submit, but I'm not all too confident that it'll fly well with my school portfolio.
At the end of the year, I'm going to accumulate a mini portfolio that I'll have to turn in for a grade to get credit.
Seeing as I have to submit them, I'll have to check in with my teacher when I get back to school before posting anything potentially in my portfolio.
I plan on working on some dA exclusive pictures on my free time, though, after all, who couldn't use a little practice?

Thanks always! I hope you guys like what ends up here-- this is where the craziness comes out, after all.
-Kayla

Happy Summer, I'm back for a mild seasonal return!

Good news:
-All my final exams are done, passed, and completely over with.
-All I have for Summer schoolwork is a book log/report and art projects.
-That mean's I'll have a tiny bit more time on my hands until September!

*ahem* also,
I LOVE YOU BRI, and your new username is SO CUTE :bademoticon:
I LOVE YOU EVERYONE
I MISSED YOU A LOT! :bademoticon:

But I have to say this in advance: I still probably won't be online toooo often. Maybe twice a week or so. I'm just starting a new job, which I'm pretty pumped about, and it'll be eating up most of my time. BUT I'm so psyched to be back for the time being!

So, as was mentioned in the title, I'm considering starting actual monetary commissions! If enough people show interest in this idea, I'll post a general idea for what I'll be charging, which probably won't be all too much. If I start doing commissions, I'll take any currency from any part of the world! Thanks to PayPal's low commission rate, I'm sure it'll be doable!

I'd like to think I've made some great strides in the quality of my artwork these past few months! I'm taking a very high-leveled studio art class this coming year as well as several digital ones. I just completed three this past year. Additionally, I've been drawing and digital painting like crazy, and I think all that practice is benefiting me tremendously.

Thanks for reading, guys, I can't wait to show you all how far I've come with my work, and improve even further while doing it. Remember, I'm always welcome to constructive criticism, and I give my kindest thanks to all of you who encourage me to continue. You're the greatest!

heeey everyone! so, about two weeks ago, a whoole bunch of you lovely beautiful people sent me happy birthday wishes! thanks so much, guys! :la:

also, i'd like to formally apologize for the lack of activity. with tests and homework and everything, i just can't manage this account like i used to. and truly, my motivation to run it is a liiittle bit lower than what it used to be. it takes quite a bit of energy to maintain a consistent art output when you have such a small amount of free time, especially when such a massive investment of effort goes into all of your pieces. i will never compromise the quality of my artwork, so making stuff as gallery fillers doesn't sit right with me, if you know what i mean.

i am continuing with my art, though. in fact, i've been drawing and painting traditionally all the time as of late. i also like to keep practicing digital when i happen to have some extra time on my hands.

i posted this journal as broad, general update, since it's been so long since i've actually replied to anything. (i'm sooo sorry about that, guys, it's seriously nothing personal-- i value all my friends on here a lot!)
well, thanks for reading! have a super fantastic holiday season. (WOO IT'S GONNA BE THE HOLIDAY SEASON!!!)

**oh, yeah, in case you were wondering, i have no idea why i named this photosynthesis. it has nothing to do with the entry at all. i couldn't think of a title. herp derp derp
